Overview

The Inquiry Funding Office offers a range of grants available to UCSF Medical Students. Each grant type will have a unique preparation timeline and application deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted. If you have any questions, please contact Inquiry.

Types of Funds

Dissemination and Travel Awards

Limit one award per student. Awards are given on a rolling basis. See Inquiry Dissemination & Travel Award page for more information.

Quarterly Grants

Including SOM International Programs Grant for Clinical Experiences, SOM Global Health Research Grant, Diane Sklar Global Health Initiative Fund for Maternal-Child Health, and Deep Explore Project Grant.
Please note that Quarterly Grants are due during the quarter before the international or project work to be done.

Summer Explore Grants

Including Summer Explore Grant, and Summer Curriculum Ambassador Program.

Yearlong Research Grants

Applications accepted once each academic year in the Spring Quarter.
