Inquiry Symposia

Inquiry Symposium highlights the innovative and award-winning scholarship of UCSF medical students

Inquiry Symposia:
Two times annually, once in December and later in April/May, medical students and interprofessional partners are convened for the Inquiry Symposium. The events feature plenary speakers, award presentations, and lively poster sessions.  We are grateful to co-sponsors from the School of Pharmacy, the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and the UCSF School of Medicine.

In 2020, the Symposium included for the first time, the entire graduating medical school Class of 2020 with over 100 independent Deep Explore projects as required for all Medical Students in the inaugural Bridges Curriculum cohort.

Summer Explore

Summer Explore Symposium features short-term scholarship by medical students between first and second year. The Fall event is an opportunity for researchers to share their findings and celebrate achievements.

Inquiry Symposium

The Inquiry Symposium is the culminating event for Inquiry Curriculum for students in Career Launch. The Spring event offers all student scholars to disseminate and celebrate Deep Explore and Yearlong Research achievement.
