In this new role, Dr. Chin-Hong will work with the leaders at each regional campus to ensure that the admissions, student experience, curricular integrity, and quality are comparable to those provided at the UCSF main campus.
John Davis, PhD, MD
Professor of Medicine; Associate Dean for Curriculum

Dr. Davis oversees the medical student curriculum and can assist students and faculty with issues related to courses, teaching and supporting the curriculum.
Karen Hauer, MD, PhD
Professor of Medicine; Associate Dean for Competency Assessment and Professional Standards
Dr. Hung sees students with questions about student life, issues related to the learning environment including mistreatment, DEI initiatives, medical student wellbeing and mental health, academic support, disabilities and accommodations, leaves of absence, professional development, and career advising and exploration.
Kevin serves as the administrative dean for medical education and can assist students and faculty with information about staff functions, budgets, learning and development, and operations.

John Davis, PhD, MD
Professor of Medicine; Associate Dean for Curriculum
Dr. Davis will have oversight over all aspects of the Medical Student Undergraduate Program including Admissions, Student Affairs, Curriculum, aspects of the SJV PRIME program, and the Anti-Oppression Charter. He will also be representing the School of Medicine at the campus-wide Education Deans Council.
Karen Hauer, MD, PhD
Professor of Medicine; Associate Dean for Competency Assessment and Professional Standards
Dr. Hauer will be overseeing Faculty Development and Medical Education Research and Development, and will serve on the School of Medicine Faculty Council as well as represent UCSF with the University of California Vice Deans for Education.
Katherine Julian, MD
Professor of Medicine; Associate Dean, Graduate Medical Education
Dr. Julian will oversee Continuing Medical Education as well as GME. Kathy will also be the Interim Vice Dean liaison regarding all clinical education issues. She will be attending Clinical Chairs meetings and representing the education mission at the School of Medicine Budget and Finance committee.
