The School of Medicine has developed student technology requirements per the following policies:
Electronic Communications Policy
A policy created by the University of California Office of the President on principles, rules, and procedures applying to all members of the University community to specifically address issues particular to the use of electronic communications.

Recordings of Course Presentations
A policy created by the University of California Office of the President on the unauthorized taking and selling of lecture notes, and some technological variants of this practice that could reasonably be foreseen, such as unauthorized videotaping for commercial purposes.
