Feb. 26, 2018: UCSF Launches Developing Medical Educators Of The 21st Century, a new course for Medical Educators!
The University of California San Francisco, in conjunction with the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Kern Institute for the Transformation of Medical Education, is offering a new course, “Developing Medical Educators of the 21st Century”, February 26-28, 2018 in San Francisco. This three-day intensive course is for medical educators from undergraduate and graduate medical education who seek to develop or augment skills in teaching and educational program design.

Aug. 16, 2017: UCSF Achieves Accreditation with Commendation from the ACCME
The University of California, San Francisco has been awarded Accreditation with Commendation for six years as part of a resurvey by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
 
The award follows a 15-month process that included a comprehensive self-study report of UCSF’s continuing medical education program, an audit of 15 performance-in-practice files of selected activities and an accreditation interview. The reaccreditation process is a requirement for UCSF to maintain its status as an ACCME-accredited provider of Continuing Medical Education to physicians.
 
Commendation is the ACCME’s mechanism for recognizing and celebrating organizations that excel as CME providers to improve the practice of health care professionals.  To achieve commendation, UCSF CME had to comply with 22 criteria, including seven top-level criteria covering engagement with the medical environment. Overall, approximately 40 percent of accredited CME providers achieve this designation.
