What do we do if we don’t do as well as we had hoped on Step 1?

Remember Step 1 scores are only one part of your application. Residencies are really moving toward holistic review, which means they are looking at the entire application. So we recommend that you plan for and study well for Step 2CK to help bolster your education.
Keep in mind the step scores that you see listed in Charting Outcomes in the Match is an average, it means that some students score higher and lower. An average is the average, it is not the minimum.
