UCSF's face covering policies
What are UCSF's face covering policies?
Answer
A mandatory face covering policy is in effect at UCSF. Be aware that in certain instances, UCSF policy is more restrictive than state guidelines. Please remember that:
- You must wear a face covering at all times on UCSF property. This includes all buildings, grounds, labs, conference rooms, elevators, parking structures and shuttles.
- A surgical mask must be worn at all times in all hospital and clinical settings in accordance with UCSF Health’s Universal Surgical Mask policy.
- Face coverings must cover both nose and mouth, and should be worn while also maintaining an appropriate physical distance of at least six feet.
- Face coverings are available at UCSF health screening stations for those who cannot provide their own.
Exceptions to this policy are listed in UCSF’s face covering guidelines
