Using AI for Psychiatry and Behavioral Science Research
How can large language model tools be used thoughtfully and effectively in research? This practical seminar will present a series of worked examples showing how LLMs can support tasks such as systematic reviews, grant writing, and vibecoding, while also addressing important limitations, risks, and pitfalls. The session will combine a presentation and discussion, with opportunities for participants to reflect on their own uses of LLM-based tools and to explore best practices together.
Discussant: Karthik Sarma, MD, PhD
Host: DPBS Psychology Advisory Committee
This meeting is open to researchers and other interested members of the UCSF community.
