While there is no single '€œbest' model, understanding these models and getting some insight on your own style is essential for development of effective leadership skills. Similarly, there is no single, comprehensive and generally agreed upon list of leadership skills, yet published frameworks have much overlap. We will build on the LEAD certificate program from the AAMC/GEA in our discussion of leadership skills and utilize previously described models for developing a vision, mission and individual development plan. At the end of the session, learners will be able to: Define leadership Identify key leadership knowledge, skills and habits Reflect upon one'€™s own leadership styles and strengths Create a personal mentoring and career development plan   UCSF is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. UCSF designates this live activity for a maximum of 277 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The above credit is inclusive of all UCSF Educational Skills Workshops and the Teaching Scholars Program. Credit available for this event only is 4 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. For the purpose of recertification, the American Nurses Credentialing Center accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME.
