Monday, April 13 at 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Add to Calendar 2026-04-13 08:30:00 2026-04-13 16:30:00 Teach for UCSF: Coaching for Health Professions Education The Coaching for Health Professions Education certificate is intended for faculty who want to develop skills in coaching health professions learners across schools and across the continuum of education. Coaching has proliferated in health professions education, and many UCSF programs have implemented or are planning coaching initiatives. Coaching learners is distinct from mentoring or advising, and different from career coaching for faculty. This certificate is designed to teach foundational coaching skills and common applications of coaching for educators. Certificate completion requires participation in the day-long in-person session, as well as an activity of participants’ choosing to apply the skills acquired. Target Audience: Both faculty who participate as coaches in formal coaching programs or want to take a coaching approach to teaching and mentoring will benefit from completing this certificate. While experienced coaches are welcome, instruction is geared toward faculty new to coaching. Registration is open to education staff, but not to learners. Accessibility UCSF welcomes all participants to our events. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in this event because of a disability, please contact Faculty Development Coordinator Jen Dick at [email protected] as soon as possible.
