Use the AAP-recommended validated suicide screening and assessment tools for pediatric primary care. 2. Describe the AAP-recommended clinical pathway suicide screening, suicide assessment and treatment planning for mild to moderate to severe suicide risk. 3. Use the AAP-recommended suicide interventions of safety planning and lethal means counseling to assist in determining the suicide risk formulation.  UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland is accredited by the California Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians. UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
