I provide didactic instruction throughout the pharmacy curriculum in psychiatric pharmacotherapy and am course director for the Neuropsychiatry theme for the School of Pharmacy's Curriculum 2018 and Beyond. My educational areas of interest are in training students to provide equitable care, piloting innovative educational technologies, reducing mental health stigma, and incorporating active learning strategies into the curriculum. I practice as an ambulatory care pharmacist with an emphasis in psychiatric pharmacy in the UCSF Primary Care clinics. My clinical areas of interest include expanding roles for psychiatric pharmacists, tobacco cessation in psychiatric patients, and primary care mental health. My research interests are related to my clinical and educational interests, namely creation and assessment of anti-oppressive curricula on health equity, implementation and impact of incorporating educational technologies in the classroom, assessment of student learning outcomes, and evaluating the impact of psychiatric pharmacists in new roles.
