Dr. Emma Samelson-Jones is a clinician-educator within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences who holds a joint appointment in the Department of Medicine. She is an attending psychiatrist in the Adult Psychiatry Clinic and in the primary care practice of the General Medicine Clinic at Mount Zion.
Her latest curriculum development project is called PsychSnaps. PsychSnaps offers case-based lessons in psychiatry and addiction medicine for PCPs by email newsletter and online at psychsnaps.com. Dr. Samelson-Jones also develops and teaches the psychopharmacology courses for the senior psychiatry residents at UCSF. She serves as the Psychiatry Site Director for Medical Student Education at Parnassus and the psychiatry liaison for the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship at Parnassus (PISCES Program).
