SFPDH 10 day quarantine mandaate
I read through the SFDPH mandate about the 10-day quarantine, and it seemed like if we have left prior to the 10-day quarantine mandate (top of page 6 under point “4”), then it doesn’t apply to us? Can someone provide clarity or confirmation on this?
Answer
Yes, an exception was made to avoid “catching” people who had initiated travel (and likely made all travel plans) prior to the date of the order. However, the principle behind the order is that traveling is high-risk for exposure to COVID, and that will not change depending on the date your travel started. Our goal is to minimize risk to our patients and, where possible, comply with guidance to self-quarantine after travel.
