Students interested in a career in Rheumatology.
Details

$2,000 for a four-week clinical preceptorship or $4,000 for an eight-week clinical preceptorship, to be completed within one academic year. Students are also eligible to receive complimentary registration as well as reimbursement for up to $1,000 in travel expenses to attend the ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting during the current award year or the following year. Students must notify the Foundation prior to attendance to receive these benefits.

Requirements
  1. Preceptors must meet citizenship and other eligibility requirements as outlined in the Awards and Grants policies(link is external). Medical students may apply during any year of medical school and must have identified a clinical preceptor by the time of the application. Only students enrolled in LCME or AOA COCA accredited medical schools or undergraduate students who have been accepted into medical school are eligible. MD/PhD students and previous student participants are not eligible. Individuals who are personally related to the proposed student are not eligible to serve as the student’s preceptor.
  2. Preceptorships must be completed within one academic year.
  3. Either a four-week or eight-week clinical preceptorship.
