Multi-omic Investigation of Placental Responses to Wildfire Smoke Exposure
Stephanie Gaw, MD, PhD will present findings from her research on the impact of wildfire smoke exposure on placental function. As wildfire events increase globally, understanding their effects on pregnancy is increasingly important. In this talk, Dr. Gaw will share data from transcriptomic and proteomic analyses of placentas exposed to the 2020 Bay Area wildfire events and discuss the implications of these findings for maternal and fetal health.
