Stephanie Rennke, MD
Dr. Rennke is Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine. She is a Bridges coach, closely teaching and mentoring a cohort of 12 medical students. She also attends on the inpatient medicine service, and among her teaching accolades are the UCSF Class of 2012 Clinical Teaching Excellence Award for Cherished Clinical Faculty and the Maxine Papadakis Award for Faculty Professionalism and Respect in 2017. As Site Director for UCSF Health for the CMC (Clinical Microsystem Clerkship), Dr. Rennke helped develop Immersion Week for first year medical students, the Health System Improvement (HSI) curriculum and coach faculty development. As Director of Faculty Development for the Division of Hospital Medicine at UCSF Health, Dr. Rennke created a mentorship program for early career hospitalists and leads a faculty development workshop series. She collaborated with faculty in Geriatrics and the School of Pharmacy to develop and implement curricula on the care of older hospitalized patients and medication safety. Dr. Rennke completed the Teaching Scholars Program in 2010. Division Chief Dr. Bradley Sharpe says, “Dr. Rennke is a ‘coach for the coaches’ in the CMC. She brought her skills and dedication to individual development to the role and is doing an outstanding job.”
