Teach for UCSF Certificate Day - Interprofessional Teaching, Part 2
Please note: You must complete Part 1 before you can take Part 2. See Part 1 dates.
The Interprofessional Teaching Certificate is for faculty who want to create and/or maximize interprofessional learning opportunities in any setting. It builds upon the curriculum of the Educators Essentials Certificate and homes in on the knowledge and skills to effectively teach learners from different health professions.
This Certificate completion requires participation in two full-day in-person sessions (Part 1 and Part 2, to be taken in order), as well as an experiential activity of your choosing (approximate time commitment 2 hours). Topics addressed in this certificate include: defining and designing interprofessional education activities, engaging learners across the health professions, and capitalizing on teachable moments among others.
To participate in the Interprofessional Teaching Certificate, we highly recommend you complete the Educator Essentials Certificate first, which provides a foundation of knowledge and skills in a variety of areas relevant to educators in the health professions. If you have taken workshops by the Center for Faculty Educators in the past, you may have the necessary foundation already. You can identify whether you have the foundation needed to get the most out of this certificate by taking the the self-assessment linked in the course. If you are uncertain about your knowledge and skills in regards to any of the questions, we strongly recommend you take the Educator Essential Certificate first.
This event is in person only. No online or hybrid option is currently offered.
