Digital Accessibility Office Hours
New schedule as of July 2025! We are changing the frequency from monthly to weekly, to better support website staff to meet the April 24, 2026, ADA Title II deadline.
Every Thursday, from 9 to 10 a.m.
No need to sign up via Zoom anymore, simply drag this recurring calendar .ics file to your Outlook calendar and join us when you can.
Who is this for?
This monthly event is for UCSF website owners, developers, and content creators/editors. Whether you have a UCSF Drupal Site Builder website or a custom website on a different platform, join us as we discuss automated tools such as Siteimprove and best practices for digital accessibility.
Agenda items are gathered live during the first 10 minutes, then they are prioritized by topic, with questions specific to the Siteimprove accessibility module discussed first, followed by general digital accessibility questions on a wide range of topics. If you are new to digital accessibility, you can simply absorb the day's session.
We typically discuss best practices for using Siteimprove's accessibility reports and how to resolve the WCAG issues it automatically flags.
Because accessibility is a continuous process, we invite you to share the progress you're making on your website's Siteimprove Accessibility score and any other steps you're taking on the path to digital accessibility. We love to celebrate your successes. We're also here to help you with your challenges.
Digital accessibility Q&A
You get to set the agenda with your questions about onboarding users and sites to Siteimprove and using Siteimprove's accessibility module. Common topics include:
- Onboarding new users for Siteimprove
- Verifying your page count is accurate
- Prioritizing the accessibility issues
- Using color contrast checker tools
- Exporting reports on PDFs and videos for manual checks
If we don't have the answers, we can explore the Siteimprove training resources and other free tools and training.
Requesting accommodation for the event. UCSF welcomes all participants to our events. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in this event because of a disability, please contact Jill Wolters at [email protected] as soon as possible.
