Bridges Curriculum
Clinical and Systems Applications
The Clinical and Systems Applications element of the Bridges Curriculum is designed to help students examine the systems related to practice to ensure that patients are receiving safe, quality, high-value care.
Starting in Foundations 1 with the Clinical Microsystem Clerkship (CMC), students will learn how to help their patients navigate a complex health care system, while also improving the health of the population and the health care system.
This includes:
- being able to enter a clinical environment
- recognize systems-based problems
- work with other health care professionals
- understand their context within the broader organization and national landscape.
Clinical and Systems work will be integrated through the full curriculum.
