Mona Bajestan, DDS, MS
Associate Clinical Professor
Dr. Mona Bajestan, DDS, MS, is a board-certified orthodontist and Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of Orthodontics at UCSF School of Dentistry, where she has served on the UCSF faculty since 2016. She completed her orthodontic specialty training at the University of Michigan.
At UCSF, Dr. Bajestan serves as Interim Program Director and Clinic Director of the Division of Orthodontics. She is widely recognized for her clinical excellence and dedication to mentoring residents in complex orthodontic care. She also directs the Orthodontic Preceptorship and Fellowship programs, leads multiple core didactic and clinical courses, and oversees key aspects of resident clinical education and training.
Dr. Bajestan’s clinical expertise and commitment to education have been recognized through the UCSF Academic Senate Clinical Excellence Award and multiple resident-selected teaching awards. She is an elected member of the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, distinctions that reflect her contributions as both a clinician and educator.
Dr. Bajestan is actively involved in organized orthodontics at the regional and national levels. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors of both the California Association of Orthodontists (CAO) and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO), contributing to leadership, advocacy, and the advancement of orthodontic education and patient care.
