Megan Richie, MD
Assoc Prof Clinical Neurology
Dr. Richie attended medical school and residency at the University of Pennsylvania before completing a Neurohospitalist fellowship at UCSF. She joined the faculty in the Neurohospitalist Division of the Department of Neurology at UCSF in 2015, and spends most of her time seeing patients on the inpatient neurology consult and primary services at UCSF Health including the Parnassus, Stanyan, Hyde, Mission Bay, Mt. Zion, and ZSFG campuses.
Dr. Richie is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Key leadership roles include directing an outpatient lumbar puncture clinic for residents since 2017 and directing the Neurology clerkship since 2018. She has also been the Neurohospitalist division chief since 2024. Her areas of interest include neuro-inflammatory and neuro-infectious disease as well as medical education.
