Gabe Ortiz, MD, PhD

Gabriel Ortiz (aka: Gabe), MD, PhD, is a Clinical Professor at UCSF and a dedicated hospitalist at Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG). In his role as the Chief Medical Officer at ZSFG, Dr. Ortiz is committed to quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the care provided to the diverse and vulnerable communities served by the hospital. He is a strong advocate for the implementation of Toyota’s LEAN production and LEAN daily management systems, leveraging these methodologies to drive transformative changes within healthcare systems (see links below for more information).
