AHA Courses

ACLS, BLS and PALS courses offered at the Kanbar Center

BLS courses are open to all students, house staff and faculty on a first come, first serve basis. For ACLS courses, UCSF Health faculty have priority. Students, house staff and non-UCSF Health faculty will be wait listed and will receive notification one month prior to the course whether there is a slot available.

ACLS and PALS course annoucements for 2017

The Kanbar Center is transitioning all ACLS and PALS courses for faculty to “blended courses”, allowing participants to take the majority of the course on-line prior to a practice and testing session in the simulation center.

Fees for the on-line portion of the courses are $132, directly payable to the AHA when registering on-line; at https://www.onlineaha.org/courses/85(ACLS) and https://www.onlineaha.org/courses/101(PALS)

You HAVE to complete the on-line portion of the course on-line PRIOR to the class room course, print the completion certificate and bring it to the course. Without this, you cannot take part in the classroom session so please allow yourself time (approx 6.5 hrs for ACLS and 7.5 hrs for PALS) to complete the on-line portion ahead of time.

The class room portion of the courses are generously sponsored by UCSF Medical Center; fees payable by participants are $80 for an initial course and $40 for a renewal course and are due at time of confirmation
