Who can participate?
Anyone with an interest in health professions education (HPE) research can participate in ESCape sessions.

  • Educators with a new or established interest in HPE research, including learners, faculty, and staff.
  • Experienced faculty in education research and education leadership

ESCape Objectives
During these sessions, participants will:

  • Receive interprofessional and interdisciplinary peer consultation for their education proposals and projects from initial idea to submission, to gain multiple perspectives efficiently.
    • For instance:
      • Choosing a framework to support curriculum development ideas and proposals
      • Applying educational theory and methods
      • Presenting education proposals, funded and unfunded, for submission or delivery.
  • Provide critique to others on their abstracts, papers, and presentations before submission or presentation.
  • Improve the scholarly rigor of UCSF education proposals and projects.

When and where do I join?
ESCape sessions are held online every Tuesday, 12:10 - 1 pm.

Online Access (via Zoom):

Format: We recommend that ESCape presenters prepare a 5-10-minute overview of their project and propose several specific questions for the ESCape group. The remainder of the session will be spent discussing the questions proposed.

Preparation: To get the most from your ESCape consultation, you can upload any presentation materials with your Request to Present at ESCape form, such as your manuscript, a summary of data resources, and questions for consideration. If unable to upload at the time of your request, please send these items to Edwina Ng, [email protected] by Thursday before your session.
