The Center for Faculty Educators is proud to present UCSF's 21st Annual Education Showcase, an event that highlights the scholarly work at UCSF and encourages continued evaluation and dissemination of this work. The program will be filled with opportunities for faculty development and to see the variety and quality of the work in which our UCSF colleagues are engaged throughout the year. All events will be virtual and scheduled over half-days.
Keynote Address - Decolonizing Health Professions Education, May 16
Our visiting scholar will be Thirusha Naidu, PhD, MClinPsych, joining us from the Nelson R. Mandela School of Medicine at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Dr. Naidu is a clinical psychologist in the Department of Behavioural Medicine at the School of Nursing and Public Health. She will deliver the keynote address and present a workshop.
The annual Education Showcase features the scholarly work of UCSF students, residents, and faculty. Sponsored by UCSF's Center for Faculty Educators (CFE), and enhanced by visiting scholars, the event is filled with opportunities to see the variety and quality of the work our UCSF colleagues are engaged in throughout the year.
The program features keynote lectures and peer-reviewed oral presentations reporting scholarly work in health professions education. In addition, faculty development workshops focus on education skills, with a full day paid option for faculty wishing to participate in the Accelerated Path for Teach for UCSF Certificate Program.
