Convergence Seminar: “Engineering therapeutics and diagnostics with synthetic biology”
Tim Lu obtained an M.D. from Harvard Medical School and Ph.D. from the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Medical Engineering and Medical Physics Program. Lu joined MIT as Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2010, and obtained a joint appointment at the Department of Biological Engineering in 2012. Lu will discuss his team’s recent efforts to engineer targeted antimicrobials, bacterial diagnostics, and human cell and gene therapies.
