COMPETENCIES FOR TEACHING ACTIVITIES

Immediately prior to a teaching experience, you will receive a notice of the relevant competencies for that activity. These messages appear as follows (note that the message below is an example, only):

Subject: MD Program Objectives and Ground School

Dear FIRST LAST,
You are receiving this email because you are an instructor or otherwise associated with Ground School. As you are aware, effective teaching in the curriculum requires an understanding of the objectives for the course you are teaching, and of the competencies expected of our MD graduates. Additionally, the LCME, our accrediting body, requires all educators to review the course objectives and overall program objectives on a regular basis and attest to your understanding. The LCME also requires us to track centrally (and report) our faculty’s compliance with this activity. For your convenience and review, we have included the objectives specific to your course below, and the overall program objectives in the link which you will also use to indicate your review.

We ask your help in attesting to your review and understanding of these objectives here [LINK]
