Welcome to Meded: Dohse l Kapoor l Moreno

Amanda Dohse
Student Life & Development Specialist, Student Experience Team

Amanda previously worked primarily in Residence Life with undergrads and is looking forward to using her advising, event planning, and communications skills to support medical students in her new role here at UCSF. She’ll be coordinating key medical school events such as commencement, white coat ceremony, and match day. Amanda will also be advising student groups and managing student communications like the weekly MSE digests and the digital sign in the Student Center. Originally from Iowa, Amanda began her career in student affairs as an Resident Assistant while an undergraduate at Iowa State University. After completing her Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies also at Iowa State, she worked at the University of Minnesota as an Admissions Counselor. In 2008, Amanda and her husband, KC, moved to San Jose and where she worked in Residence Life at San Jose State University for three years before going to UC Berkeley as a Resident Director. Amanda is also a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor and facilitates several training sessions each year. She, KC, and their one year old, Hugo, just moved to San Francisco and they’re looking forward to exploring the city. Amanda is thrilled to be joining the team!

Neha Kapoor (Chauhan)
Curriculum Coordinator, Assessment, Curriculum, Evaluation (ACE)

Neha supports the Core Inquiry Curriculum (CIC), Health Individual and Health and Society (H&I / H&S), and Assessment, Curriculum, Evaluation (ACE) team.

A San Francisco native, Neha’s interest in healthcare started in high school, where she worked at the onsite wellness center. She then went on to pursue her Bachelor’s Degree in Women and Gender Studies from the University of California, Davis and is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management. Before joining Medical Education, Neha worked in the Compliance Department at the Laurel Heights Campus. She also brings with her a wide array of knowledge and skill sets, having previously worked in companies such as Kaiser, Google, and Brown & Toland Physicians. In her spare time, Neha loves spending time with her family/friends and traveling.

Irma Moreno
Course Coordinator, Assessment, Curriculum, Evaluation (ACE)

We are pleased to welcome Irma Moreno to the Assessment, Curriculum and Evaluations (ACE) team. Irma started with us on August 1st as the course coordinator for the PISCES and LCE courses.   Irma returns to UCSF from the UC Berkeley Joint Medical Program where she had been the recruitment and admissions specialist for the past two years.  Prior to JMP, Irma was a member of the Medical Education team in the Office of Post Baccalaureate and Outreach Programs for five years. Irma earned her JD from University of San Francisco and her BA in Sociology from UC Berkeley and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in medical education working with our students and faculty in our various programs. We are fortunate to welcome her back.
