Claim CME credit for a course

Complete the online evaluation associated with the conference you attend.  In the survey, enter your full name and credentials and the number of credit hours you are claiming, as you’d like them to appear on your certificate. Your certificate will be available to print upon submission of the survey and emailed to you.

NOTE:  If the evaluation survey for your course is closed, please contact the Registration office by calling (415)  476-5808 or emailing your request, including the information below, to:  registration@ocme.ucsf.edu

  1. First and last name
  2. City and state (to verify your record)
  3. Course title and number (if known)
  4. Number of total credits you are claiming

Find out how many credits are provided for a course

The number of credits is posted on our calendar next to the course title as soon as each course is approved by the UCSF Governing Board for certification. If the number of credits is blank, a maximum award has not yet been determined. Please check back later.

Specialty Credit Types

Please check the More Info page for the course you are attending. We list Specialty Credits for each course as information becomes available.

Program schedules/outlines indicate lectures that are eligible for Specialty Credits. For Pain Management Credit, Look for the "P" next to a lecture title. For Geriatric Credit, look for the "G" next to a lecture title. Credits are awarded on an hour-for-hour basis.

Complete my course evaluation

You may have evaluated the sessions/speakers on paper during the course.  Most UCSF CME courses now offer an online evaluation form for the entire course.  You will receive a link to the online evaluation form by the last day of the conference. 

You may also access all open evaluation forms at our dedicated Evaluations Page:  http://meded.ucsf.edu/cme/evaluation.

Register for a course

  • Locate the course you're interested in attending on our calendar: https://goetrak.aptean.com/t-ucsfsm/etrakwebapp/meetings.aspx
  • Click the Register Now link to the right of the course
  • Login in (or create an account if you do not have one)
  • Follow the prompts to complete your registration
  • Upon completion, you will receive an email confirming your registration

If you have multiple accounts, we will have to merge all of your accounts into one. Please email us your information at registration@ocme.ucsf.edu or call (415) 476-5808 Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, and our registrars will be happy to assist you.

Cancelling registration for a course

Cancellations must be requested in writing. You can send requests in 1 of 3 ways:

You may be required to provide your credit card number.  If you are providing this number, please do so through our secure fax number above. Please do not email us your account number as it may not be secure.

Each course has a cancellation deadline. Please check the Cancellation Policy located on the course's More Info page for the last day to cancel.

Register for a course that isn't currently open for registration

If your course of interest is not open for registration yet, please try again in two weeks' time. 

You may also download, print, and complete a registration form (.doc). Please make sure your credit card number is included.  Fax your form to (415) 502-1795, and we’ll register you when course registration information becomes available.

Per Day Fees

  • If you have participated in a UCSF CME course in the past, you are already in our system.  The Forgot Your Password link will assist you in resetting your login information.

Our online courses are listed under the Home Study Specialty.  To view these courses, please follow these steps:

  • Select Home Study Programs from the dropdown menu and click the Update List button

  • Locate the course you're interested in and click the More Info link to the right of the course title to access the online course
