  • Curricular Topics: Clinical Skills

  • Faculty development will be provided; details to follow if selected for the position

Qualifications:

  • Active clinical practice in the San Francisco bay area that allows medical students to apply hands-on direct patient care clinical skills
  • Instructor:
    • Salaried UCSF faculty
    • Volunteer Clinical Faculty

Time Commitment: 

  • Variable number of half-days
  • Dates of Instruction: Summer, fall, and winter months

Specific Opportunities

Transitional Ambulatory Clinical Experience (TrACE) Preceptor 

Responsibilities:

  • Host an advanced third year medical student in your outpatient clinical setting ½ - 1 day per week for 8-24 weeks
  • Curricular Topics: Ambulatory clinical skills

Faculty Benefits:

  • Highlight your clinical setting and patient population, teach the next generation of physicians advanced outpatient clinical skills, role-model outstanding physician professionalism

Qualifications:

  • Active clinical practice in the San Francisco bay area that allows medical students to apply hands-on, direct patient care clinical skills
  • Instructor:
    • Salaried UCSF faculty
    • UCSF Volunteer Clinical Faculty

Time Commitment: 

  • ½ - 1 day per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday (same day each week) for up to three 8-week blocks
  • Dates of Instruction: January – June 2018. Blocks run for 8 weeks, Jan/Feb, Mar/Apr, May/June
