Advanced Programs in Health Professions Education
Depending on your time, commitment, and stage in your career as a medical educator, there are programs to suit your needs in UCSF’s continuum of training programs in education.
More about Advanced Programs in Health Professions Education
Students, residents, fellows, and faculty members often are interested in developing their expertise as educators beyond what can be obtained from workshops and presentations. UCSF has several ways for individuals to develop their educational expertise. Students, residents, and fellows can enroll in the Health Professions Education Pathway to Discovery which provides a core program exposing learners to key areas in learning theory, curriculum development, pedagogy, assessment and leadership. Faculty members have a similar opportunity for development through the Teaching Scholars Program. With this background individuals may choose to pursue a Masters of Arts in Education at University of California, Berkeley. For faculty members with an educational grounding and serious commitment to educational research, our doctoral program with the University Medical Center, Utrecht may be appropriate.
